WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, cheered Patrice Douglas’s advancement to the runoff in Oklahoma’s 5thCongressional District. Douglas will go against Steve Russell in the August 26th runoff.

“We are thrilled with Patrice’s performance tonight and are proud to support her in the upcoming runoff election. Patrice Douglas understands that all life is precious, and that women deserve better than abortion. As a Congresswoman, we know she will courageously defend unborn children and mothers,” said SBA List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Patrice will be an incredible addition to the Pro-Life Women’s Caucus, which has been at the forefront of advancing pro-life, pro-woman legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives. We urge all pro-life voters in Oklahoma’s 5th district to enthusiastically support her on August 26th and beyond.”

Patrice Douglas was first elected as Mayor of Edmond, Oklahoma in 2009 and served two terms at the city’s helm. She was then appointed by Gov.
