Following tonight’s primetime Republican presidential debate Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser offered the following comment:
“What a difference four years makes. The Republican Party is smart, hitting the sweet spot on handling the abortion issue in a way that is politically smart while addressing a grave human tragedy.
“Tonight, all candidates asked about life spoke compellingly, with confidence and vision, on a core issue. Pro-life is playing a major role in the primary and will go on to be a defining issue in the general election. With Hillary Clinton and other national Democratic leaders doubling down on their support for unlimited abortion on-demand, up until the moment of birth, paid for by taxpayers, the pro-life stance will be a major advantage for the Republican nominee. The majority of Americans who support common ground limits will be looking for pro-life candidates who lead on this issue. Susan B. Anthony List will work hard to ensure voters do not forget who fails to stand for the most innocent among us.”
