Vicky Hartzler | Missouri’s 4th District
During her first term in Congress, Vicky Hartzler, a former state legislator and high school teacher, has been a proven leader for Life. In 1994, Hartzler successfully ran for state representative and served the people of Cass and Johnson counties for six years. The Hartzler’s adopted their daughter following Vicky Hartzler’s final term in the Missouri State House in 1999. In 2005, Missouri Governor Matt Blunt appointed Vicky Hartzler as chairperson of the Missouri Women’s Council which works to help women achieve their economic goals.
Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010 and proudly represents Missouri’s 4th congressional district. Congresswoman Hartzler is also the author of the book, Running God’s Way: Step by Step to a Successful Political Campaign. Since her election in 2010, Congresswoman Hartzler has earned a 100% NRLC voting record and co-sponsored the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act, the Ultrasound Informer Consent Act, the Respect for the Rights of Conscience Act, and the D.C. Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protect Act.. Not only does she vote pro-life, she has not shied away from speaking out for unborn children on the House floor, as she did during the debate on defunding Planned Parenthood at the federal level. She faces well-funded pro-abortion Democrat, Teresa Hensley, in the general election.
