Biography: Congressman Steve King was elected to Congress in 2002 to represent Iowa's new fifth congressional district. He has co-sponsored numerous pro-life bills in the House of Representatives including: defunding UNFPA, the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act and the Abortion Non-Discrimination Act.  He added a pro-life amendment to the Agriculture Appropriations bill (HR 2112) that prohibits any funds in the bill from being spent on RU-486, also known as the abortion pill. Congressman King participated in the Values Bus Tour in Iowa in August 2011 sponsored by the SBA List, Family Research Council, and the National Organization for Marriage.
