Cynthia Lummis | Wyoming’s At Large District
Cynthia Lummis took her seat in Congress as the Wyoming Representative At-Large in 2008. Prior to her service in Congress, Cynthia held various influential offices in the state. She was the youngest woman ever elected to the Wyoming State Legislature, went on to earn her law degree, clerk in the Wyoming Supreme Court, and serve 14 years in the Wyoming Legislature. She then served eight years as the Wyoming State Treasurer prior to becoming a U.S. Representative.
She is a co-sponsor of the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act, the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act, and the Patients First Act, which encourages the Department of Health and Human Services to support ethical stem cell research.
While the busy life as a Member of Congress, Representative Lummis still finds time to be involved with her family farm in Laramie County, Wyoming.
Cynthia is married to Al Wiederspahn. They have one daughter.
